Gladiolus — Feu tranquille

2025

Ink and watercolour on rice paper This sumi-e painting evokes a bouquet of gladioli in all its verticality and delicacy. The stems and leaves, rendered in black ink with fluid and spontaneous brushstrokes, rise through an almost silent white space, allowing the composition to breathe. At the heart of this simplicity, the red flowers emerge like touches of light and life.
