The Refuge

2024

Ink and watercolour on rice paper. The waterfall brings a sense of vibrant energy to the landscape, while the refuge evokes protection, rest, and a return to oneself. In the spirit of sumi-e, the empty space suggests mist, silence, and the vastness of nature, transforming this place into a true haven of peace, suspended between the mountains and the water.
